DELTEBRE DANSA: THE EPHEMERAL CITY

This year the ephemeral city of DELTEBRE DANSA has grown to accommodate the increasing number of participants (100 in the 2010 edition, 150 in 2011). There are two areas for the workshop participants; a tiny communal Tent (an area for relaxation); and a Camping Area. These facilities are in addition to the existing facilities of the Civic Center , Pavilion Sports hall and the dining space (all leased by the City of Deltebre).

DELTEBRE DANSA, A PLACE TO LIVE

The Tent, Civic Center and the Pavilion Sports Hall are the focal area of the workshops. Almost all workshop and performance activities take place there.

The 150 participants of DELTEBRE DANSA will be divided into three groups of 50 people. These three groups will share the Tent, Civic Centre and Pavillion Sports Hall, all of which are equipped with all the practical and technical requirements necessary for the workshops (e.g. wooden ground covered with dance floor, showers, changing rooms and toilets, massage and osteopathy services).

Accommodation is a very important issue to us, and we encourage all the participants to sleep in a common area.  Individual lodging is available but is not provided by DELTEBRE DANSA. We provide mattresses, offered by youth hostels throughout Catalonia. There are also toilets and showers to ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the group.

Furthermore, meals are also part of the social and meeting space for the participants. That’s why, for two weeks, Monday to Friday, the organization provides lunch and dinner. These meals are included in the registration fee.

DELTEBRE DANSA IS A PLACE FOR JOY, RECREATIONAL MEETING,

DIVERSITY, COEXISTENCE, EXCHANGE, REFLECTION, INNOVATION

“DELTA SPA” TENT

In each new edition the organizers of DELTEBRE DANSA study a new infrastructure convenient and suitable for the requirements of the event. The “DELTA SPA” space is an area for relaxation and massage. It is open daily to complement the intensity that DELTEBRE DANSA workshops entails.

A professional osteopath provides his services to the participants in order to ensure the physical health related to the intensity of the activities carried out during the workshop.
